7 English/Yearbook

My name is Kayla Fletcher, and I teach seventh grade English. I also serve as the yearbook adviser and high school student council sponsor. This is my third year at Lincoln Christian School, and I love being a Bulldog! I chose to teach at LCS because working in a life-giving environment that truly cares about students is very important to me. I get to witness that every single day at LCS. For fun, I enjoy reading a good book and visiting antique stores. I look forward to all that God has in store this year!

My name is Marcos Cruz and I am the Director of Music for Lincoln Christian School. I have had the privilege to have been a part of Church On The Move for 34 years and on staff for 32 years. I have served Church On The Move as Music Director, keyboard player and Global Music Director for 28 of those 32 years and the last 4 years teaching at Lincoln Christian School. I have played in Tulsa and regionally in different local band settings since 1992. I attended the Conservatory of Music in Puerto Rico and attended Oral Roberts University. I have been married for 32 years to our Science Teacher, Rhonda Cruz, and she has been a part of the staff for over 22 years. We have 4 children who attended all elementary and high school at Lincoln. We are grateful that they were prepared to move on into their next step in life. My wife and I are “Empty Nesters" and are enjoying this stage in our lives. Our 4 children have each pursued different careers as well. Our youngest Ariana (22) graduated from Evangel University and is a Marketing director for a Tulsa company. Lynsey (25) is married and helps her husband Larry in music ministry at a church in Missouri and has one boy. (Samuel) Nathan graduated from West Point Military Academy and works in the corporate world in the city of Chicago as a consultant. Theater/Public Speaking Teacher

I am married and have three grown children. I graduated from Oral Roberts University with a Bachelor’s degree in Drama-TV-Film Performance, and a Master’s degree in Christian School Education. In addition to teaching the theater and public speaking classes, I also direct the One-Act team, and the Speech team, and I have the honor of directing the all-school musical. I’ve taught at Lincoln and attended COTM-BA for 3 years, where I enjoy serving on the Production Team. I love traveling, reading, going to the theater, and eating good food. I am happy to be teaching at LCS because of the rare opportunity to combine education and faith. I love being able to partner with parents to raise their children to live for Jesus. Fun fact about me: I was a cheerleader at ORU.

Vocal/Guitar Teacher

My name is Lauren Settles and I have been teaching for 6 years, with this year being my second year at LCS. I chose LCS so that I could teach in an environment that not only encourages students to grow and train their God-given gifts and talents, but also somewhere that inspires them to use those gifts to worship and glorify God. A fun fact about me is that I have performed songs in over 8 different languages.

STEAMM Facilitator

My name is Abby Cox and I teach Computer Science and STEAMM at the LCS Secondary Building. This will be my fifth year in education and my fourth year teaching at LCS. What I love about teaching at Lincoln is the incredible care and devotion that this school has for its students, parents, and teachers. It is truly an honor to be part of an organization that helps students grow academically, physically, and spiritually every single day. One fun fact about me is that my name changed this summer when I married my husband, Andy!
