Transcript Request

For Juniors and Seniors, transcripts need to be requested through a Student Naviance account 15 days prior to the college or scholarship application deadline to ensure enough time for college or scholarship processing. Transcript request for all other grades should be emailed to your student’s Academic Counselor.

How do I request my transcripts through Naviance?

  1. From your Naviance homepage, go to “Colleges” tab.
  2. Click on “Transcripts” at the upper-left side of the page under the resources heading.
  3. Select appropriate option (transcript for college applications or transcript for scholarships or athletics).
  4. Follow steps shown to complete request.

How can I get a copy of my transcript for myself?

  1. From your Naviance homepage, go to “Colleges” tab.
  2. Click on “Transcripts” at the upper-left side of the page under the resources heading.
  3. Click on “Request transcripts for scholarships or athletics”
  4. Follow steps shown to complete request.

What is the difference between official and unofficial transcripts?

An unofficial transcript is primarily used for your own use (if you need to enter your grades for applications or if you just want a copy for your records). If a transcript is needed for application submission, scholarship/financial aid consideration or for job placement then upon request, the Academic Office will send an official transcript directly to the college/organization.

When will my college/organization receive my transcript?

Transcript requests are processed daily. Most transcripts are sent electronically through Naviance eDocs. When your transcript will be received varies with each college/organization. If a college/organization contacts you and says they have not yet received your transcript, please verify (in Naviance) that your transcript has been sent and inform them of the method of submission and when it was sent. If the college/organization asks for another copy, submit another request through Naviance.

How do I check the status of my transcript requests?

  1. From your Naviance homepage, go to “Colleges” tab.
  2. Click on “Transcripts” at the upper-left side of the page under the resources heading.
  3. Click on “View the status of all my transcript request” and you will find the method by which your transcripts have been sent: Either Transcript Mailed or Transcript Sent Electronically.

Transcripts and the Common Application

If you are applying to a college through the Common Application then you will not need to request transcripts through Naviance. The Common Application will send your Academic Counselor a link via email in order to upload the requested documents needed to complete your application. This includes an official transcript; however, you will need to provide Common Application with your Academic Counselor’s name and email address.
