My name is Ty Barrett and this is my first year here at LCS as a High School World History teacher. I am also the head high school boys and girls tennis coach as well as an assistant wrestling coach. I am from Sapulpa, Oklahoma where I spent the last two years there as a teacher and the last 6 as a coach. I graduated with my Bachelor's in History from the University of Oklahoma in 2020 and finished my Master's in Education from Southeastern Oklahoma State University this past Summer. I married my lovely wife Kaylyn in September of 2022. In my short time here at LCS I have realized how special this place really is. The community and culture here are so special and help to make my job so fulfilling and exciting every day. I was not very aware of LCS and COTM when I started this process, but the more I got to know this place, the more that I have been here, I feel more and more assured that this was the right place for me.
Fun Fact- I am also a shepherd in the fact that I train and compete with border collies to herd sheep and cattle and compete with them all over the country. I have competed with my dogs in more than 10 states and am a 4 time national qualifier in the USBCHA.
