LCS Moves Full STEAM-M Ahead in 2019-2020.

This fall, Lincoln Christian School will be implementing a full STEAM-M program for grades 3-12! This includes the opening of a fully-equipped STEAM-M SmartLab in the secondary building and hands-on curriculum in all science classes. With this new program, students will have creative opportunities to build strong foundations in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math while reflecting through a Ministry mindset (STEAM-M).

LCS contracted Creative Learning Systems SmartLab to provide curriculum with over 450 inquiry-based engagements aligned to the Next Generation Science Standards and create an environment that “empowers students to shape their learning to meet their individual interests, abilities, and learning styles.” The SmartLab allows students to build “21st century skills such as problem-solving, critical thinking, communication, collaboration, creativity, and the effective application of technology.”

Some features included:

  1. Circuitry
  2. Computer Graphics
  3. Digital Communications
  4. Mechanics and Structures
  5. Robotics
  6. Scientific Data and Analysis
  7. Software Engineering
  8. Sustainability
  9. Studio Art

Lincoln Christian School will be the only private school in Oklahoma to have a Creative Learning Systems SmartLab! As students step aboard the STEAM-M train, LCS looks forward to helping them identify their next step.
